We entered into a contract with Jackson Hedden Inc. in mid-2024 for industrial and manufacturing design services for our air disinfection hardware. We paid all phase invoices on time, trusting their stated expertise in DFM, manufacturing coordination, and vendor sourcing.Our experience was deeply disappointing. After full payment in February 2025, we received incomplete or substandard deliverables including manufacturing documentation, assembly drawings, and BOMs none of which met production standards according to two independent manufacturers we consulted. Critical deliverables like manufacturer sourcing and final engineering files were simply never provided.Communication was a major issue throughout. The CEO routinely displayed a dismissive tone in meetings, disregarded client concerns, and responded to direct questions with unrelated answers. Emails frequently went unanswered. Their project manager rarely provided progress updates but persistently chased payments, even as timelines slipped with no transparency or accountability. We repeatedly had to ask even beg for updates that never came.Several promises made at the outset regarding deliverables and capabilities were not honored. After months of delays, non-performance, and unprofessional conduct, we terminated the contract and issued a formal refund demand citing material breach.This experience reflects a lack of professionalism, poor customer treatment, and failure to deliver on contractual commitments. If you're considering this firm for any hardware or manufacturing design work, proceed with extreme caution and verification of their true capabilities. Now we are taking serious legal action against them. "

On October 4, 2024, my prototype (Boujée Toilet Bowl Brush) was received by Jackson Hedden Inc. for repairs after it arrived to me in a cracked and unusable condition. I was told that repairs would be done at no cost. Despite repeated follow-ups over a span of more than six months, the prototype was never repaired or returned. In fact, as recently as last week, I was informed during a recorded conversation that the brush was still in pieces and not ready to be shipped.On April 16, 2025, I received a billable statement for 9.25 hours, which included $600 billed specifically for work on the prototype, despite it still being in disrepair at that time. The statement also reflected misrepresented charges for communications with the manufacturer on February 15 and April 15 and included vague range dates (April 1-15) that have since been disputed and disproven by the manufacturer, who confirmed in writing that no such communication occurred on those dates or with those individuals.After raising concerns, I received a revised invoice on April 21, 2025, now totaling 13.4 hours, with the previously listed (and disputed) charges removed but other unexplained charges added raising the bill by over $1,000. The timing of the updated invoice and sudden claim that the prototype is now ready to ship appears to be an effort to deflect accountability following my refund request. The company has only sent a photo of a hose and has not provided any evidence or video of a functional prototype.I am a small startup business, and this prototype was a critical part of launching my first product. The actions of Jackson Hedden Inc. have caused significant delays, financial strain, and stress on my ability to get my business off the ground. My business has not even launched yet, and I am already facing substantial losses due to the mishandling of this project. I am requesting a full refund for the prototype repair which exceeds months and repair charges for the prototype. "
