As part of its new campaign, Meta's WhatsApp has launched two new spots that bring together the cast of the popular sitcom "Modern Family."
In two short 30-second adverts, actors Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson lend their talents to reprise their roles as Phil Dunphy, Claire Dunphy, Cam Tucker, and Mitchell Pritchett, respectively.
On top of highlighting how WhatsApp can work seamlessly with any kind of phone (pointing to iOS-Android app compatibility problems), both ads tout the platform's policy on user privacy.

And WhatsApp can't stress this enough, even collaborating with popular influencer "Dude with Sign" on a post.
A Modern Reunion
Teased in a CBS Talk segment in early June, the short-lived reunion aims to let users know that WhatsApp can be the solution to "America's blue and green bubble" messaging divide between Apple and Android users.
It also gives fans of the show a short but sweet update on the happenings inside the Dunphy house.
Sadly, the slice-of-life ad is no reboot, but it sure is a trip down memory lane.

"WhatsApp gets the family group chat back together," kicks off with a frustrated Claire (played by Bowen) telling viewers how the family chats have "gone green" and all the photos have gotten blurry, leading the kids not to reply anymore.
A knock on the door leads Phil (played by Burrell) to spring out of the couch to answer it, thinking it was their kids coming for a surprise visit.
But it was just a postal service delivery person who knows the family's struggles all too well — so she encourages them to try WhatsApp.
"It's great for any phone, and it's private," she says.
The scene jumps to the two sitting happily on their couch, as their kids are finally replying again.
"What does IYKYK mean?" Dunphy questions, unfamiliar with Gen Z terminology.
"Message seamlessly with everyone," the screen reads as the spot ends.
The second advert, "The family group chat moves to WhatsApp," kicks off on the same couch, this time, with Tucker and Pritchett (played by Stonestreet and Ferguson).
Pritchett asks the group if he could see what's in the group chat, leading Claire and Phil to share a knowing look.
"You started a family chat without me?" Pritchett says, offended not to be part of it.
Tucker responds that it's because Pritchett's new phone takes "blurry photos" and makes "weird likes."
A house painter then enters the conversation, suggesting the bunch to use WhatsApp.
The spot closes with Tucker and Pritchett in bed, scrolling through their new "The Fam Jam" WhatsApp group.
